Initial Assessment

An Initial Assessment is REQUIRED prior to starting your dog’s journey with Canine Massage.

The Initial Assessment is an opportunity for Lindsey, our certified Canine Myo-Manipulative Functional Therapist (CMFT), to discuss your dog’s medical & behavioral history, massage work goals, analyze your dog’s gait, identify areas to focus on therapeutic bodywork, and gauge the dog’s comfort level with handling and massage practices. All dogs receiving canine massage must have a current veterinarian and must have been seen by their veterinarian within the last 6 months. Please note that Lindsey, CMFT, may discuss your dog’s canine massage and treatment plan with your veterinarian at anytime. If the dog becomes injured, a new ache or pain discovered, or a medical concern has arisen while the dog is enrolled in canine massage, the dog must be seen by their veterinarian prior to continuing massage therapy.
